5 years of EeD!

Time flies! This week we celebrate 5 years from the registration of Eco-efficient Design in Switzerland. So, we have the excuse excuse to share with you these days part our our story.

Once upon a time...

Actually, the idea of EeD started over a decade ago, in Sweden at the Institute of Technology of Linköping University. The influence that some reputed experts in the field of ecodcesign and environmental impact analysis such as Tomohiko Sakao, Mats Eklund, Mattias Lindahl, Niclas Svensson or Olof Hjelm (among many others!) have in our designs and approaches can't be denied. Let's say, they planted the seed of our entrepreneurship in the rich soil of Circular Economy.

Meanwhile, fruitful collaborations with the laboratory of Dr. Nozomu Mishima at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), watered it with robust convictions, provided important technical and managerial nutrients, and guided the roots to let grow the ecodesign agency we are now.

5 years growing 

It takes time to shape up and entrepreneurial venture. Oh boy! It does! Now we have collaborators in about all continents and tens of countries, we are opening a new workshop in Switzerland in the coming weeks, and are developing enough products and IP to be worth over CHF 1M. :)
