Nowadays, much effort is put into saving energy. End-users are mostly interest on energy consumption during the use phase. In 2015, transports represented 19% of total energy consumption worldwide. These, employ 99% off fossil energy, releasing 23% of global CO2 emissions (2010) - along with other well-known pollutants (CO, SOx, NOx, VOC’s, particles, etc.)
Road transport shares 69% of the energy of a sector in which just cars produce 41% of its CO2 emissions. In addition, driving is associated with outrageous ratios of accidents, noise and health problems, traffic congestion, stress, wasted time… Thus, if driving represents the use phase of our vehicles... have we paid enough attention to our driving style?

This is an abstract taken from our poster about Ecodriving for the next Electronics Goes Green symposium, held in September in Berlin! Contact us and start to ecodrive your vehicle! Fell free to comment your ideas in this Eco-Blog, in our Facebook, or via Twitter.
